This effort is to raise funds to support Ervin Dugar. Ervin is a landscaper who works on Koko Isle. Last week he had a serious lawn mower accident which resulted in the loss of his foot.
We are asking Koko Isle residents, friends, and concerned neighbors on Oahu to donate to support him and his family during his recovery.
Ervin attends his first support group meeting this Sunday and begins the prosthetic fitting this week. He is in brave spirits and reports that he wants to be back to work in 3-4 weeks! Let’s help him achieve his goal.

Club House Update
The Club House is open for reservations subject to follow up construction. If you would like to reserve the Koko Isle Club House contact the Koko Isle office for availability. Please keep in mind that reservations are not guaranteed due to ongoing construction waiting on supplies.
Pool is OPEN
As an update, the pool will be open during normal operating hours. The plan is for the pool to be open as much as we can during non-construction periods. Please check with the Resident Manager for pool operating days and make sure all pool users stay away from the construction areas as indicated by signs.
The Gym will remain open as usual.

Community Boat Yard Dock Replacement

It will not be available for about two weeks while under construction.

Koko Isle is a beautiful condominium community located in Hawaii Kai, Honolulu, Hawaii. It is situated right in the middle of Kuapa Pond which is the largest, privately-owned waterway with direct ocean access in the United States.
Koko Isle was built in 1967 by Henry J. Kaiser on a man-made island, complete with its own bridge, and consists of 124 two-story townhouses with 2, 3 or 4 bedroom floor plans. Approximately 70% of the units are located directly on the water. Amenities on the island include a clubhouse and beautiful saltwater pool. Also, there is a meeting room, restrooms, exercise room and a sauna in the clubhouse area. This is also where you'll find the Resident Manager's office.

There will be two informational meetings scheduled over the next two weeks.
The first meeting will be next Wednesday Nov. 23rd, 2022, at 6pm and then Monday Nov. 28th, 2022, at 6pm.
Both meetings are at the Koko Isle Club House.
This meeting is for the Dock Committee, all owners on the wait list for docks, and other interested owners.

Schedule Update - Paint Project Plan 2022 & 2023 (Dates subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen situations.)
Dear Koko Isle Residents, Our Painting contractor, DK Painting began painting buildings on Koko Isle on Monday August 15th, 2022. Due to favorable weather conditions and improved labor efficiencies, he is ahead of the original schedule. He completed 5 buildings and is working on 2 more as of today. DK Painting will post a notice to each Unit prior to moving around the community. DK painting will also be painting and staining your carports.
This is an exciting and critical capital improvement project, and we are doing our best to complete the work as quick as possible. We appreciate your support and cooperation in being flexible to reschedule and in preparing your areas for painting to help expedite the process. Below is a list of tasks that need to be accomplished. The contractor will not work on Sunday’s or Federal Holiday’s, however, work on Saturday’s is a possibility as needed to stay on schedule. On your scheduled dates, we request that you prepare your unit’s area for painting by:
1. Making your unit available for painting at the scheduled date & time.
2. During the painting process, keep your windows and doors shut during the hours of 8:00am – 5:00 pm to prevent water, dust, or paint overspray from entering your home.
3. Provide the contractors access to water facet for power washer as needed for each job site.
4. Taking all your personal belongings off the lanais and store inside to prevent damage. Items too large to move inside can be located in the center of your areas away from the walls and the painters will cover those items.
5. Removing all open closet stored items and equipment just before your start date.
6. Protect/Cover/Remove, all other property on front and back courtyards to prevent paint overspray.
7. Removing plants and vegetation away from the walls to be painted.
8. Removing cars, boats, trailers, bicycles, kayaks, trash cans, and items hanging from the carport roof, and other stored items from the carport by 8:00 am on scheduled dates.
9. If you cannot get everything off, please put in a small pile away from the walls.
10.Contractors are not responsible for any damage occurring during the painting process.
11.Remove all unwanted brackets, rusting nails, old flagpole brackets, conduit remnants, or any attached items that is no longer used.
12.Planning for electric car needs that may not be available during painting.
13.Two (2) Parking passes per unit will be issued allowing you to park your cars in guest parking during the painting of your unit.
At the end of this notice for your use and planning is the forecasted weekly schedule by Date, Building #s, and Units.
